Charging Up the City: A Campaign for the Lancaster Stormers

When your mascot is a bull with a lightning bolt on its forehead, you don’t whisper your presence. You charge.

To kick off the Lancaster Stormers’ season in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB), we helped the team electrify the city. One wall, ramp, and billboard at a time. This campaign wasn’t about selling tickets. It was about declaring territory. About making sure fans, visitors, and even parking garage pigeons knew exactly who runs this town.

A Surge in Speed, A Charge in Cheer

The campaign’s core message? Energy. Movement. Momentum. Whether it was sliding into home or juicing up your EV, we made the fan the hero in every scene:

This wasn’t just wordplay. It was a love letter to the fans disguised as hype.

Format Frenzy: The Media Lineup

We didn’t limit ourselves to a few standard formats. This was an all-out media blitz, tailored to the rhythms of everyday life in Lancaster:

Digital Billboards:

Featuring live score updates and the Storm Chaser of the Game, our boards served both ego and intel. One second you’re stuck at a red light, the next you’re reliving a 9–0 beatdown of the Flying Boxcars.

Parking Deck Takeovers:

From elevator doors to exit ramps, we turned city infrastructure into a pumped-up pregame tunnel. Even the EV charging stations got in on the action, because every great charge needs a cheer.

Window Posters & Interior Displays

Local businesses joined the roster with window signs proclaiming "Home of a Storm Chaser." Small placement, big team spirit.

And People Noticed

“Incorporating real fans from our games into the creative gave us a huge boost in social sharing—and even earned personal messages from community leaders praising playful lines like ‘100% chance of hot dogs,’” said Kristen Simon, VP of Sales and Marketing. “Our rivalry campaign especially struck a chord, igniting hometown pride and rallying support for our team in a whole new way.”

The Brand as a Thunderclap

No need for a call-to-action. The only action this campaign needed was eyeballs widening and conversations starting. This was about fame, not foot traffic. And with the Stormers' bold color palette and that hypnotic lightning-charged bull staring you down from rooftops and intersections alike…you looked.
And then you looked again.

Final Score: Stormers 9, Boring Ads 0

This campaign reminded us why OOH is still the best way to make a city feel like it’s part of the game. You don’t need gimmicks when your team has a mascot, a mission, and a creative partner who understands both.
Play ball. And keep charging.

What would you do if more people knew about you?

Expand your product line? Build another store? Take home more in distributions? Pay your employees more? Buy that new van? Send your kid off to that other college—the out of state one? Or take a vacation? The possibilities are near endless when your advertising actually works, and works hard for you.

We’re here to help with that. From creative execution and planning to out of home specific creative and sales training—we want to free up your efforts with OOH-sh*t billboard ads. The kind that get you famous. The kind that get your name on peoples’ lips. So let’s get people talkin’. Let’s get up to something.
